Tulsa Women's Business Breakfast
The Tulsa Women’s Business Breakfast is an event to help business owners and entrepreneurs meet one another, learn from community leaders, and become more informed about Tulsa’s business ecosystem.
This month, we are excited to host a panel on work-life balance, featuring some amazing women who are making great strides in several different industries!
Panelists:
Rose Washington-Jones is known as a catalytic leader in the Tulsa community. As Chief Executive Officer of Tulsa Economic Development Corporation (TEDC), she oversees the development and implementation of services and resources for more than 500 Tulsa entrepreneurs and small businesses each year. Over the years she’s earned countless accolades for her work, including the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Oklahoma Minority Small Business Champion of the Year and The Journal Record’s Most Admired CEO awards, all while building a strong connection with the diverse and innovative community she serves.
Alissa Futhey moved to Tulsa from Chicago in 2023. After her corporate career ended, she found her calling and began her business, Chartreuse Floral & Gift, in December 2023. Her focus is on creating and curating intentional, thoughtful experiences that support Tulsa-based minority businesses while scaling to full-time retail and eCommerce business.
Katie Carpenter, co-founder of Madcap Industries, is dedicated to transforming emerging artists into career artists by demystifying the art acquisition process. Madcap is more than an art representation and creative PR firm; it's a bridge connecting Tulsa’s vibrant talent with national recognition. Her mission is to spotlight our city and its creative industries, leveraging her expertise in event planning, hospitality, logistics, marketing, and storytelling. Katie’s journey began with Ever Something, focusing on events, weddings, and PR narratives, underscoring her belief in the power of kindness, authenticity, and dedication.
Kim Roxie, Founder and CEO of LAMIK Beauty, has celebrated the beauty of all women since becoming an entrepreneur in the beauty industry in 2004. With her degree from Clark Atlanta University and executive leadership certification from the Tuck School of Business, Kim's background sets the foundation for her success. She also earned her esthetician license from Houston Community College, before becoming a top-brow and makeup artist in Houston.
